Expressions of interest should be submitted via the IP Lead for your Trust (often the R&D Manager) who will then contact HEE. Applicants will be expected to first submit a formal innovation disclosure to HEE, available for download via the Innovation Disclosure page, upon receipt of which HEE will begin a formal technology review process taking, typically, 4 weeks to complete.

At the end of this period the application will be assessed against the eligibility criteria, and applicants will be informed as to the success of their application following the next meeting of the Project Review Committee (meetings take place once every fortnight). During the review process applicants will be asked to assist the project manager in building the case for funding the proposal, including determining clear deliverables or milestones, timescale for achievement and estimated costs
